2 holiday cottages on the Banffshire coast sleeping 6 or 4. The former stables and coachhouse of this Regency house have been tastefully converted for holiday use.
Built around a private gravelled courtyard, the former stables and coach house of this Grade B Listing, Gamrie Lodge circa. 1828 which is a fine example of a four storey, Regency Buchan, former Manse, have been sympathetically converted to provide two well proportioned and tastefully appointed self catering holiday cottages which are available throughout the year.
The self catering holiday cottages are fully furnished and tastefully decorated providing a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere and are available throughout the year sleeping 2+2 (The Swallows) and 4+2 (The Owl).
Each cottage is double glazed, centrally heated, and complemented in the main sitting room with a glass fronted feature cast iron multi-fuel stove. In the main bedroom of each cottage you have the choice of two single beds or a 6ft wide super-king.

The Swallows Cottage:
This one bedroom cottage is named after one of the most regular smaller visitors to Gamrie Lodge. Every year several pairs of Swallows can be seen nesting under the sheltering eaves of the main house and tirelessly skimming over adjacent wheat fields from early morning to long into the evening.
The accommodation is well proportioned, fully furnished and tastefully appointed providing a wonderful relaxing atmosphere.
Sitting Room
Multi-fuel stove, twin sofas (1x sofa bed), colour television, table lamps, DVD & CD players. Exposed beamed ceiling and wooden floor with rugs. A unique feature is the pair of arched former stable doors that now incorporate full height glazed windows.
Dining Kitchen
This is the main entrance into the cottage with wooden floor and short flight of steps leading into the Sitting Room. The kitchen is fully fitted with modern appliances including dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer and ceramic hob cooker with extract canopy. The dining table seats 4.
Bedroom
The bedroom is fully carpeted and can be provided with a twin or double bed arrangement on request. Built-in wardrobe, bedside cabinets and lamps.
Shower Room
Wooden floor finishes and three piece white suite including built in shower cubical with glazed screen. Heated towel rail.
Outside:
This cottage benefits from the sole use of the gravelled courtyard. Patio furniture and portable barbecue are provided.
Owl Cottage:
Tawny Owl chicks are quite good at two things - falling out of their tree and getting back up again. Over the years we have caught sight of several owl chicks sat on the ground within the walled garden at Gamrie Lodge and it only seemed fair to name the two bedroom cottage after them. The accommodation is well proportioned, tastefully appointed and situated on the ground floor providing easy access throughout.

Double Bedroom
Fully carpeted with wardrobe, bedside cabinets and lamps. Separate wash hand basin.
Twin Bedroom
Fully carpeted with wardrobe, bedside cabinets and lamps.
