Lovely and relatively easy walk up the river starting from the middle of the village. Lots of wildlife to explore and easy on kids of any age.

A popular local walk is to the Falls of Moness, through the famous Birks of Aberfeldy, forever associated with the poet Robert Burns who was inspired by the birks (birch trees) to write his eponymous song. It's a fairly easy walk along a marked trail (see map) up to the impressive falls, and the views of Strathtay and the surrounding hills on the descent also make it worthwhile. It's about four miles there and back.
