Angus - Angus Visitor Guide

Montrose is located at the very northern end of the Angus coastline, which is placed in a peninsula between the mouths of the River North Esk and the River South Esk. It has a busy commercial port, a leisure harbour and an attractive beach. The tidal basin where the freshwater river meets the salty North Sea lays a 2,000 acre nature reserve, which is under the control of the Scottish Wildlife Trust. The Montrose Basin Wildlife Centre remains as the main attraction for visitors and it offers a spectacular view of the birds and wildlife.
