Customer Reviews of Dolphin Cottage, nr St Andrews, Fife - Sleeps 4
st comment: Great dog-walking all around the area. A few pleasant dog-friendly pubs in the coastal villages, so very easy to eat out when you can’t leave your pet(s) unattended. March 2012.
nd comment: The cottage is nice, its layout is unusual and quite quirky. The sitting room and kitchen are down stairs from the main door and you go up a few steps from the main door to get to the main bedroom and en-suit bathroom. From the main bedroom you go up a flight of stairs with a gate at the top to go into the twin bedroom which is lovely. It has a sloping ceiling with beams and a fantastic view. The cottage is very well equiped, cosy and has plenty of hot water. Although the door opens onto the street the cottage is quiet. Parking is a little tricky but we were always quite close to our cottage. Anstruther is not far and we walked in several times. Plenty of places to eat there. We enjoyed award winning fish and chips and also found the other fish and chip shop to be very good too.I thought the waterfront restraunt was excellent. St Andrews is well worth a visit. We went to the marina, shops, tea room and exploring. There were lots of places to take the dogs for a walk. The owner phoned me before we went on holiday and was very helpfull telling us all about the area. I also bought a lovely painting that was displayed on the wall and was lucky enough to meet the artist Edward Turner who signed the back for me. Thankyou. Oct 2011.
rd comment: Absolutely fantastic location. Views amazing! Cottage was very comfortable. It was great waking up in the morning, looking out of the window and only seeing the sea. Quiet, peaceful and tranquil. The beaches at St Andrews, Tentsmuir and Elie excellent (dogs loved them). Garden excellent for dogs too. Sept 2011.
th comment: We both fell in love with the cottage as soon as we walked in the door. Dolphin Cottage has a charm that overwhelmed us. June 2011.
th comment: Superb cottage, views, location and area, all good. This was the best cottage holiday we have had (Including the dogs). The ambiance of the cottage and its location was such that we didn’t feel the need to drive around looking at the area. We were satisfied with what we had. Would book again for sure. The owners were very friendly on the phone prior to our visit and we had no need to contact them whilst we were there. All in all, excellent. Aug 2010.
th comment: Excellent location and the cottage had everything we needed and more. July 2010.
th comment: Quaint and near the sea. July 2010.
