Situated in magnificent countryside on the hillside above Loch Meiklie, this charming detached stone cottage nestles in a small hollow, unseen from the nearby lane, and offers total peace and seclusion. Drumnadrochit is 4 miles, Inverness is just 20 miles along the road that follows the shore of Loch Ness. Many leisure amenities in the area include pony trekking, fishing and pleasure cruises. Lovely walks from the cottage lead to the hills and lochs beyond.

The cottage, buit in 1890, has been carefully renovated to retain much traditional charm and many original features, including wooden beams and a cast iron open fireplace. With comfortable furnishings, the cosy interior is attractive and welcoming. A steep open wooden staircase leads up to the low-ceilinged loft sleeping gallery, suitable for older children or adults. The cottage has its own rough garden, enclosed by a stone wall, and access is on foot from a parking area by the quiet lane approximately 200 yards away, around a field sometimes occupied by sheep or cows, therefore dogs must be on a lead at all times and wellies will be necessary in wet weather! Local shops and pub 4 miles.

1 double bedroom (cot available by prior arrangement) and a low double bed in the mezzanine gallery, charming sitting room with dining table, open plan to kitchen, shower room. All electric plus open fire. Fridge, auto washing machine, television, video CD/tape player. Bed linen and towels are provided.
