Customer Reviews of John Naver's, nr Thurso - Sleeps 4-5
st comment: Property was just as described and better! Quiet but still only an easy half an hour walk to the local hotel if you want company. Landlord called on day of arrival to make sure we had everything we needed which made us feel very welcome. Fishing and walking easily accessible so make sure you pack your boots, waders and rods for a truly relaxing holiday. June 2012.
nd comment: This was a beautiful cottage, it was a real home not a holiday one, didn’t want to leave. Oct 2011.
rd comment: The location of this property is excellent being close to sand dunes and the beach. Sept 2011.
th comment: Enjoyed "John Naver’s" very much; a real home from home, with everything you could need, including towels which aren’t mentioned in the description. Approx 1 mile into Bettyhill, cottage at Invernaver, along single track roads, but roads generally quiet. Nice beach across field; although sheep / horses, we had no access problems, even with dog. Garden secure for pets (and presumably children although we didn’t have any with us!). Small dog friendly pub with good food at Farr Bay (opposite edge of Bettyhill to cottage). Overall, a great place to stay, in a very beatiful area of the country. Aug 2011.
th comment: We stayed a this wonderful cottage for the second year running and increased our stay from 7-14 days. It is the ideal spot for couples with dogs. We had two with us this year and they were in dog heaven. The only reason we will not be going again is that we plan a big family holiday in Ireland next year. Were it not such a long journey for us we would come back every year. If you want a really relaxing holiday this is the place for you. The weather was really good too and a few fish were caught. July 2011.
th comment: Property well situated for John O’Groats, Cape Wrath and other tourist attractions on the north coast. Although furniture and fittings were clean the cupboards both in kitchen and bedrooms had owners belongings in them, and the kitchen utensils and crockery had seen better days. May 2011.
