Glasgow, 40 minutes, Edinburgh, 90 minutes, both easily reached by frequent train service. Shops, cafes and pubs, 10 minutes walk.

2nd comment: Handy for Glasgow, Campsie Fells, the Trossachs, Loch Lomond & Loch Catrine. If you dont mind an hour or two’s driving Oban and Edinburgh are within reach but watch the parking fees in Edinburgh, they are outrageous! Aug 2011.

The kitchen was well-equipped allowing us to cook our evening meal on several occasions. We were also encouraged to use the garden for a game of football or badminton. May 2010.
