Customer Reviews of Rocky Mountain View, Old Blar Cottages - Sleeps 4
st comment: Very warm, comfortable and well-equipped cottage in a great location. Everything has been thought of! Wonderful view of Ben Nevis. We couldn’t fault our experience. April 2012.
nd comment: We visited in March 2012 with a baby and a toddler. The cottage was perfect for children - all on one level, with easy clean wooden floors and high chair provided. The location was great and having access to the hotel leisure facilities was great. The pool was warm, quiet and had great views of ben nevis. The cottage is just outside fort william - excellent location with good cycling nearby. The property had secure bike storage and would be an ideal base for walking/cycling. Fabulous week away in a spotlessly clean and well equipped cottage. All linen, towels, heating included so no hidden costs. Such a warm cottage. We would definitely return. March 2012.
rd comment: A wonderful surprise. A clear view of Ben Nevis. Just two minutes walk to Neptunes Staircase & Banavie Train Station through which the spectacle of the Jacobite Railway train passes. The wooden floors throughout contribute to a clean bright modern property. Wine, preserve & a pint of milk welcomed us. Clearly cared for very well & great facilities at your disposal to dry clothes & boots when caught out on those wet days. A key ingredient to a great stay in Fort William. Aug 2011.
th comment: The accommodation looks better in real life than in the photos. It is really well equipped. It was only a 200m walk to Neptune’s staircase (where my husband found a good run along the canal) and a nice restaurant. Loads of good walks in the Fort William area but be prepared for rain. The cottage has a drier though. Sept 2011.
th comment: A great, comfortable and well equipped cottage decorated in a modern style. There is a picturesque walk along a canal where you can see Neptunes Staircase, a Steam Train and Osprey fishing in the local sea-water bay. Ample parking, quite and with good views of the surrounding mountains. June 2011.
th comment: The cottage was excellent, the owners were lovely and very friendly, but the weather was awful!! Would not recommend anyone to book earlier than June if they want a good week. May 2011.
th comment: This is a real home from home with everything you need for a comfortable family holday. Its location was perfect for sightseeing - Ben Nevis, Loch Ness, Oban etc. The local hotel which was a few minutes walk way served delicious meals and had a good childrens menu (home cooked food). I would ceratinly recommend this accommodation. Oct 2010.
th comment: Fantastic base for exploring the highlands! Lots of helpful leaflets about things to do and places to see, restaurant recommendations etc. Sep 2010.
th comment: Wonderful views of Ben Nevis, cosy, warm. Everything you could need was provided for. The leisure facilities were perfect after a strenuous day out. Aug 2010.
