Magnificent sunsets over the Western Isles can be enjoyed from the garden of this detached stone-built crofter’s cottage, which commands a superb hillside location overlooking the sea and distant Outer Hebrides. An ideal base for outdoor pursuits, with moorland walks and bird-watching from the door, and more challenging hikes and climbs to be found amid the Cuillin Mountains. Take a boat trip from Dunvegan Castle to see the seals basking in their natural habitat, or hop on board a ferry and explore the Hebridean islands of Harris, Lewis or Uist. There are many good places in which to dine out locally. Shops 4 miles, pubs 10 miles.
