On the edge of Drymen, in the heart of leafy Buchanan Castle estate, Strathendrick House is a substantial 4 bedroom cottage. Simple yet sophisticated, old but modern, it really is a haven of peace and tranquillity. The house offers a vast garden with private access to the river. Dominated by an enormous fir, and surrounded by mature trees and an orchard, utter seclusion and privacy is ensured.

The village of Drymen has many amenities including several fine pubs serving traditional hot and cold food, supermarket, bank, local butcher, gallery and gift shop, and a well-stocked library. For guests lucky enough to visit when the hotel in the village square is throwing a traditional Scottish dance night, the experience is particularly exciting. The village also offers a private leisure complex with swimming pool, Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. It also offers two squash courts and the latest in gym and fitness equipment. All the facilities are available with good rates to guests of the house. Guests can also choose between the historic town of Stirling with its famous castle, battlefields and monuments or Glasgow, the city of culture and entertainment. It is also very stylish, with funky bars, boutique restaurants and vibrant nightlife. Taxis are abundant for those who fancy making a night of it. Both cities are less than 30 minutes by car.
