With direct access to miles of unrestricted croftland bounded by dramatic sea cliffs and unspoilt beaches, it makes an ideal base for exploring the many memorable delights of Skye or just watching the ever-changing scenery. Easy travelling to the famous Cuillin mountains, Talisker Distillery, Dunvegan Castle and the picturesque, bustling main town of Portree. A day trip to the west coast of the mainland with fabulous scenery is not to be missed. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 8 miles.

1st comment: A very comfortable home-from-home, with fantastic views out of the windows over Loch Pooltiel & to the Outer Hebrides. The light is always changing, & there is always something different to see. We were lucky to see a white-tailed sea eagle and a pod of dolphins from the bay window at the front of the house. Very helpful caretaker & very clean and well-presented accommodation. Highly recommended! Aug 2011.

2nd comment: Croft House is spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. It offers lots of home comforts including a washer drier which is sometimes needed due to Skye’s temperamental weather. The views out of the front windows are breathtaking and change daily with the weather. Due to Croft House not entertaining our four legged friend we are unable to return, but would recommend this charming house to anyone of any age. April 2011.
