Customer Reviews of Camus Na Harry, Gairloch, Sleeps 4

st comment: Excellent property to ’get away from it all’. Lovely views, warm and snug. Well equipped with everything you could want. Oct 2011.

nd comment: The house is in a stunning location with amazing views across the water to Gairloch - and with the added pleasure of having Pine Martens visiting & feeding outside the lounge window. It is a quirky property, rather dated in terms of decor and furniture but comfortable nonetheless. Highly recommended for a peaceful holiday - especially for those enjoying walking & wildlife. Sept 2011.

rd comment: Apart from the fabulous location, what makes this property stand out is the fact that the owner and his family regularly stay there. This means there is nothing you need that isn’t there, or is missing, or broken because any problems are quickly sorted out by the owner himself. It is clearly a family home and it feels that way. Aug 2011.

th comment: A peaceful and tranquil location. Horrendous weather gave us the opportunity to enjoy all the wildlife that visited the house, many varieties of birds including a great spotted woodpecker and the many visits by the pine martens. The coal fire was cosy and made you feel quite comfortable to ’stay home’. May 2011.

th comment: Beautiful location. Really comfortable and extremely well equipped. May 2011.

th comment: Ideal for bird watchers/nature lovers, pianists and children... the library, table tennis room doubles as a HUGE play area. Oct 2010.

th comment: If you want a true getaway - this is the place for you! It was gorgeous, with amazing views, amazing wildlife... couldn’t recommend it highly enough! Oct 2010.

th comment: This is a quirky and quite old fashioned property but that should be considered a good thing - it had heart and felt very homely. The piano was well loved and the views and tranquility are to die for. Sept 2010.

th comment: The property is so warm and welcoming with a lovely atmosphere and surroundings, we have been there 5 times and intend to return next year too!! Aug 2010.

th comment: Although the cottage seems dated at first, the accommodation was very comfortable and the views from the large windows overlooking the loch are wonderful. It is a good base for wildlife watching and walking. Aug 2010.

th Comment Location and views also amazing wildlife. July 2010.

th Comment Superb!! Excellent views from lounge, plus pine martens visited nearly every evening. June 2010.

th Comment It was fantastic - the views were absolutely stunning - it was extremely homely and the history of it was fascinating. The table tennis was also a highly regarded extra. Oct 2009.

th Comment The cottage far exceeded our expectations; stunning location, fantastic for wildlife watching just from the lounge window! We adored the property - very comfortable and with lots of character. We loved taking it in turns to serve drinks from the bar, and exhausted ourselves with the table tennis! May 2009.

th Comment Lovely family home. Pine martens a real bonus. May 2009.

th Comment Had a homely feel, outstanding views, lovely garden, and the opportunity to watch the pine martins, otters and seals in their natural environment so close to the property was amazing. Aug 2008.

th Comment The highlights of the holiday were the views, the wildlife, especially the pine martens, and the surrounding countryside. The "dated" feeling of the property and furnishing took a while to get used to but once we did we thought it was rather charming and we especially liked the personal touches: e.g. photographs, books, etc. April 2008.

th Comment The holiday home was the best I have ever stayed in, the area was beautiful and my son and I had peace and time to catch up after his first year away from home at university before he went off trekking the world. The walks around the property were magical and the wildlife varied and entertaining, we really did not want to stray far from the cottage. June 2007.

th Comment The best holiday we have ever had - complete perfection - the cottage is idyllic and just what we were looking for so glad we were recommended! Nov 2007.

th Comment We booked Camas Na Harry for our honeymoon, as we wanted a real away from it all destination. The location was fantastic (who needs a TV with that view!) and the daily visits from the local pine martens made it all the more special. We had a wonderful week and anyone looking for something that bit different need look no further. June 2007.
