Customer Reviews of Scaurbank Cottage, Thornhill, sleeps 4

st comment: Very comfortable warm cottage in a very quiet secluded location - a real ’get away from it all’. Welcoming and friendly with the added touch of a bottle of wine in the fridge, and fresh flowers - even in February! Would certainly go again. Feb 2012.

nd comment: In a beautiful peaceful location the property had been restored to a very high standard and it was a pleasure to stay there. Sept 2010.

rd comment: The cottage is secluded and would appeal to anyone wanting a peaceful and quiet setting. It might be useful to note that one has to park ones car in front of the owner’s house and carry ones cases down some garden steps or a long path to Scaurbank Cottage, and this may be difficult for some frail or elderly people. Sept 2010.

th comment: The entire property was clean, fresh and comfortable. The exterior was well maintained and tidy. The only slight point I could make, and I stress it is a minor issue is that the kitchen is not well lit. The location is extremely peaceful and the owners welcoming. I would recommend this property to anyone seeking peace and quiet. May 2010.

th comment: It was a luxury cottage and had everything we needed. April 2010.

th comment: The heating was on all the time, the cottage was fitted out with everything we needed. Oct 2009.

th comment: It should be pointed out that any luggage must be carried 100 metres or more over difficult ground, which could be a problem to some people. Sept 2009.

th comment: Nice location in very good condition. Plenty of room and comfortable. July 2009.

th comment: Spacious, well equipped, comfortable beds and bedding. Quiet location. July 2009.

th comment: The area the cottage was in was superb, very quiet and secluded. The owners were extremely helpful and gave suggestions for walks, cycle routes, places to visit etc. The wildlife was wonderful and most of it on the doorstep. All in all excellent. Aug 2008.
