With splendid views of the Five Sisters of Kintail and Loch Duich, these three very comfortable, single-storey cottages are ideally placed for touring north-west Scotland and the Isle of Skye, making this an ideal holiday location for walkers and mountain climbers. Furnished and equipped to the S.T.B. ‘4 Stars’ grading, each has its own garden where a resident pine marten visits all three properties, and a slipway is available for visitor’s boats. Abundant wildlife, such as seals, porpoises and otters can be seen in the loch. All three properties have a wildlife observation hide at the water’s edge. Good sea fishing can be enjoyed from nearby rocks. Kyle (12 miles) has shops, a good seafood restaurant and the bridge to Skye. Further up the loch lies Dornie, with access to the dramatic Falls of Glomach. Guests can enjoy a free 1-hour cruise (or hire on an extended trip) on the owners’ private cruiser (Apr-Sep, weather permitting) around Loch Duich and even up to the unforgettably beautiful Eilean Donan Castle (3 miles) which is set at the confluence of three lochs. Fishing tackle and tea/coffee is supplied on the boat. Shop 200 to 300 yards, pub nearby.

Customer Reviews of Waterside, nr Kyle - Sleeps 2/3

st comment: You will not be disappointed with this place. Fabulous. My only tip is the directions to the property are great until you get to the bit that says... look for telephone kiosk on left... You cannot see it coming from the south as it is hidden behind bushes. Instead read...just before petrol staion property is on left... The petrol station in no way spoils where you are. Nice little shop there. April 2012.

nd comment: This was the perfect place to get away from it all, ideally located for walking trips over to Skye and the surrounding area, I was on holiday myself and thought that the accommodation was just perfect, up on the main road the garage shop is well stocked with all your everyday needs, the friendly owners are near by and there priority is to ensure you have a peaceful and relaxing holiday with minimum contact with them, if you want to unwind for a week this is the place to go. Oct 2011.

rd comment: The cottage is set in an idyllic location as it overlooks Loch Duich. It had its own hide at the end of the garden. Oct 2011.

th comment: A highlight was the boat trip with the owner, Lachie. Loch Duich is stunningly beautiful. Sept 2011.

th comment: Superb site. Excellent views. Peaceful and relaxing. Many good restuarants/pubs in Plockton. Drive to Applecross is well worth the effort unless you have particularly nervous passengers. One week is not long enough. June 2011.

th comment: This is the ideal ’get away from it all’ location. We have been here several times and will no doubt return. July 2011.

th comment: This was one of the most idylic places to stay, with stunning views and excellent accommodation. Every detail was included including fresh flowers. Would recomened to anyone and the owners were very helpful. June 2011.

th comment: The cottage was really well equipped, it was very warm, and the welcome tray set with shortbread fingers, and a vase with fresh flowers was a lovely touch. It was very peaceful, we were not overlooked by the other two cottages, and we would definitely go back. The owners show a lovely caring side, extremely nice people. March 2011.
