View property on a map In a spectacular picturesque setting directly on the shore of Loch Creran and surrounded by mountains, farmland and a nature reserve, Inver Boathouse was built in 1907 as the landing point and lodge for the captain of the steamship which supplied the glen. The boathouse now offers the ultimate holiday home of character and the adjacent cottage is available to let separately or additionally for larger parties. The boathouse has astounding all round views of the mountain ranges and sea loch and the 2nd floor gallery has 360 degree views. Wildlife abounds on the foreshore and loch including oyster catchers, otters and seals. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful peaceful surroundings from their own private beach - patio and private garden with garden furniture and barbecue provided. Boats can be launched on the slipway - boat hire can be arranged on request. There are excellent opportunities for sea/loch fishing and fly fishing. Glencoe/Fort William are within easy reach for mountain walking /climbing and skiing in season. You can now travel by seaplane from the centre of Glasgow to Oban harbour - a wonderfully scenic start to your holiday. The boathouse is well maintained and fully equipped offering a high standard of accommodation. Rooms are spacious, modern, bright and very comfortably furnished featuring wood panelling in all rooms and a central fireplace on all 3 floors. Ground Floor: 2 twin bedrooms (cot and high chair available); day room with open fire, jacuzzi bath/shower room, sauna. First Floor:1 twin and 1 room with twin/double plus single bed (Z bed also available); sitting room with wood-burning stove, dining room, well equipped kitchen, shower room. Gallery floor: with wood-burning stove and very comfortable seating. All electric with central heating plus wood-burning stove and open fire. Fridge, freezer, microwave, auto washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, satellite television, video, DVD player, payphone, Jacuzzi bath, sauna, pool table and football table.
