The picturesque and historic village of Upper Foyers is situated in woods and hills on the quiet south side of Loch Ness and is an ideal choice for a peaceful Highland holiday. Foyers offers much outdoor enjoyment with a well maintained 22 mile network of paths for walkers (maps and guides provided), fishing, cycling, birdwatching, abundant wildlife, quiet scenic picnic spots and magnificent views of Loch Ness and the spectacular surrounding hills, crags and lochans. Despite this rural tranquillity, the Highland capital city of Inverness is only 30 minutes drive and provides shops, cinemas, theatre and swimming pool. Exploring further by car can take you for the day to Skye, Ullapool,Fort William or Speyside. The village of Foyers has a shop, tea room, hotel restaurants and bar. MAP REF L13
