FINDLAY CHURCH ANNUAL CANDLELIT SERVICE: Sunday 14th Dec 2008: 6.30pm

Th Church Choir, solo singers, the Findlay Church Band, and all those who gather will take part in our Candlelit Service. There will also be a short Christmas message. Its a great way to start the Christmas countdown.

This is the time when Students head into (or back to) the city to start Uni or College and we are ready to welcome them at Findlay. We love to have the students worshipping with us while they are in Glasgow as they contribute so much to our Fellowship. Many get involved in Church activities such as Small Groups, music, youth work or just making friends. Whatever the reason, you will find a friendly welcome at the Church

Our Students' welcome lunch will happen in mid October at which information will be given on a whole range of opportunities to engage with God and Christian friends. Steve McMillan is our Student Co-ordinator.

The Summer Holiday Club was fantastic with lots of kids from around the neighbourhood enjoying a fun packed week of song, drama, dance, crafts, Bible teaching and lots of noise. Joseph (He of the tecnicolour dreamcoat fame) was the theme for the week, and as the week progressed the children learned how to trust God in every situation. The cafe was open for the Mums and Dads to chill out while the kids did their stuff.

The following Sunday morning service echoed the theme of the week, as the children demonstrated all they had learned - and didn't they do well?.

 Findlay Family Network had their Fair Day recently on a lovely sunny day. There were activiites and fun for families both inside and outside the Church. The BBQ kept everyone fed, and the local fire service thrilled the children with the big red fire engine. Over £1000 was raised for the Network which reaches out to the local families.
