Trossachs Leisure was established in 2004 to take over the long established business of TROSSACHS FISHINGS with its base on the north shore of beautiful loch Venachar. The tradition of fishing on Loch Venachar goes back to the mid 19th century.
In addition to managing the trout and pike fishing on Loch Venachar, we also manage fishing outings for Salmon on many well known Scottish rivers.
Since acquiring the business and site in March 2004, all the boats used for fishing have been completely refurbished and most of the outboard engines are new. We currently have 25 boats available which give us the capability to accommodate major competitions.
Development is complete on the building of our fishing lodge with modern facilities including a coffee shop and fishing tackle shop.
Mark Wilkinson, General Manager is well known in the local community and has been associated with fishing in the Trossachs and elsewhere for many years. He is also an experienced manager with many years in the leisure industry.
Morris Meikle, Head Ghillie is also well known throughout the Scottish angling community. A fully qualified ghillie, Morris is an expert on fishing and an excellent teacher of his craft. The ghillies we employ in various locations are under his supervision.
