Kelso Online

Welcome to Kelso Online

This is the website of Kelso, the cobbled town set in the heart of the Scottish Borders, Scotland. You will discover from reading and browsing through all of the links on this site that Kelso, despite only having a population of over 6150 (figures taken from the 2001 census), boasts a thriving community and is a town where there is always something on and something to see.

The site is always being updated and changed with an emphasis on the pictures of events and occasions that take place in and around our beautiful town.

Kelso The Cobbled Town

Major local events such as the annual dog show, the Border Union Trade Show, The British Motorcycle Federation Rally, The Jim Clarke Rally and the declaration of the Kelso Laddie is proof that the town is, indeed, a fantastic place for tourists to visit year after year. Other past events include the Honda Gold Wing Convention, the World Citroen 2CV convention which saw over 1500 2CV cars visit Kelso and stay in the grounds of Floors Castle.

Best wishes to Gareth Ford for Civic Week 2007

Add to the previous list the fact that Kelso has two 18-hole golf-courses, an ice rink, rugby, cricket and football clubs, as well as one of the oldest and friendliest race-courses in the UK and you will begin to realise that there is more to our town than meets the eye.

The jewel in the town crown is perhaps the French-style cobbled square. Situated around the town square is a selection of fine retail outlets, both national and local privately owned, where any visitor could buy the perfect gift for their loved ones back home. In addition to the retail outlets, there are many bars and restaurants for the casual drink or meal or even the more formal occasion.

There are also many beautiful and inspiring places to visit around Kelso. Other towns and the country side should be enjoyed by all. Please come to our town and enjoy all the sites and sounds of the Scottish Borders and Kelso itself.
