There is real history around Loch Ness, especially around Fort Augustus. The South Loch Ness Heritage group have a collection of wonderful old pictures on their website. We find it fascinating trying to match up some of the old pictures with present day places.
The Highland Club
Standing on the banks of Loch Ness yards from the apartment you will think Wow! what a view, what a place to stay! catering visitors will have membership of the Highland Club facilities,
when the development is completed in 2009. This includes a swimming
pool, sauna, restaurant, club room with snooker table etc. To view

Our apologies, as dog lovers ourselves to those of you that would like to bring a dog but the Abbey apartment is not really suitable for pets.
Open all year: The apartment has full gas central heating so you have lots of piping hot water and warm accommodation throughout the year. It is absolutely gorgeous looking out from the snug apartment windows when the snow is falling gently outside knowing you won't get snowed in, as it is just a short walk to the bars and restaurants of Fort Augustus. This is a very popular loch-side honeymoon destination, big enough to return to for anniversaries with friends, even perhaps, the new family! see a full inventory.
We apologise in advance if we cannot accommodate you for any reason in the Abbey apartment. Demand for self catering in Fort Augustus is high and consequently it gets booked a long time in advance. For those of you who couldn't reserve the dates you wanted in the Abbey apartment, perhaps you would care to try our friends who live here at Inverfarigaig and also have a luxury self catering cottage overlooking Loch Ness
or try Wildside Lodges who have some seriously cosy romantic Lodges and log cabins nearby.
From Fort Augustus there are many outdoor activities to choose from, the most popular being walking, golf or cycling, or Loch Ness Cruises - the scope for all outdoor pursuits enthusiasts is enormous.
