Shetland's Location

News about SIBC

Three Shetland local artists passed their first one thousand plays on SIBC during the last year. They were the Fatalists, Riptorn and Astrid Williamson. Shoormal passed two thousand plays.

SIBC has welcomed the positive results from the DRM+ tests on the FM band by the University of Applied Sciences at Kaiserslautern in Germany in March, April and May 2008.  SIBC regards DRM+ as the only digital radio standard devised so far that is likely to be affordable for wide area, but small market, radio stations
