Nose  : Quite peaty for a Northern malt

Taste  : Rich, pleasant with a slightly dry finish - lots of character

Comments  : Good after-dinner malt. Popular amongst the connoisseurs.

Description  : Clynelish (pronounced OClyn-leesh') Distillery was built in 1819 by the Marquis of Stafford, later to become Duke of Sutherland, whose castle at Dunrobin is open to the public. The distillery used locally grown grain and was fired by coal from a nearby mine.
