  • Radisson SAS Hotel - Royal Mile in trad style old town building
  • Parliament House - nice setting at foot of Calton Hill but tucked away
  • Howard Hotel - is this five star? not any more, we don't think.
  • Tigerlily - operates in boutique style but probably deserves 4 star imprimur
  • Roxburgh Hotel - wow on Charlotte Street but in 1980s chnitz timewarp
  • Marriott Edinburgh - too far out for pleasure but handy for the airport and Royal Bank HQ
  • Apex European - only handy for meetings with Scottish Enterprise or Murrayfield maybe.
  • Albany Town House - the owner changes every year, the hotel stays same, sweet location and small
  • Kildon Lodge Hotel - handy for Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and South side
