Cairncross House, 20 Kelvinhaugh Place, off Argyle St near Kelvingrove Park, has rooms to let. It also has B&B accommodation at Dalrymple Hall in the West End, available Mar-Apr and Jul-Sep.
The University of Strathclyde, (Tel: 5534148), www.strath.ac.uk/department/rescat/sales/index.html A wide range of B&B accommodation in its various halls of residence across the city, mostly available Jun-Sep, though a few are open all year round.
Baird Hall, 460 Sauchiehall St. Open all year. 191 rooms (all shared bathrooms). The pick of the bunch. A beautiful Art Deco high-rise building in a great location. Also cheaper than most of the others
Chancellors Hall, Rottenrow East (on campus). 218 en suite rooms.
Garnett Hall, Cathedral St (on campus). 124 rooms. Also self-catering from £260-330 per week.
Murray Hall, Collins St (on campus). 70 rooms.
Farther out of town, but the cheapest of the lot, is Jordanhill Campus, 76 Southbrae Dr. 189 rooms. More salubrious accommodation is available at the Strathclyde Graduate Business School, 199 Cathedral St, (Tel: 5536000, Fax: 5536002), www.sgbs.strath.ac.uk/hotel 107 en suite rooms. Open all year.
There is also plenty of self-catering and serviced accommodation in the city, much of which is quite upmarket.
