Annan is situated in the south of Scotland and on the Eastern part of River Annan it was a river port and slowly developed to a town. It lies 6 miles from the M74 at Gretna Green near the major towns of Dumfries and Carlisle. The place has many old buildings in a red colour these ancient buildings were built from red sandstone making Annan different from other places. On the west end of Annan is the High Streets where the Town Hall stands, which is one of the most historic buildings here, it was build in 1878 with a clock tower which was the main feature of the town halls built in that time.

Annan has many charming building and places to look for the Town Hall, the Annan Bridge, and the Chruch Street. The Corner House Hotel showcases the elegant architectural style of that time with complete luxury other attractions are the war memorial which is standing tall, and the Commercial Inn.

The town takes us back to the past with its historic resemblance and style. The railway bridge which boasts the main railway link connecting to Dumfries and Kilmarnock keeps the pace going.
