Babbity Bowster, 16-18 Blackfriars St, (Tel: 5525055). 6 rooms. A local institution and one of the first of the Merchant City townhouses to be renovated.

The Victorian House, 212 Renfrew St, (Tel: 3320129, Fax: 3533155). 60 rooms. Large, friendly guest house very close to the art college. Superb location and just about the best value in the city centre.
