SYHA Youth Hostel, 7/8 Park Terr, (Tel: 3323004). 144 beds. This former hotel has been converted into a great hostel with dorms for 4-6, many with en suite facilities. Price includes continental breakfast. It gets very busy in Jul/Aug so you'll need to book ahead. Open 24 hrs. It's a 10-min walk from Kelvinbridge Underground station, or take bus 44 or 59 from Central station and get off at the first stop on Woodlands Rd, then head up the first turning left (Lynedoch
St).
Close by is Glasgow Backpackers Hostel, 17 Park Terr, (Tel: 3329099), www.scotlands-top-hostels 90 beds. Open 3 Jul-23 Sep. Independent hostel housed in university halls of residence. Also very popular, and cheaper than the SYHA.
