Its main restaurant, The Grill, is very good and the brasserie, Hadrian's is even popular with locals. Beware of the cheaper rooms in the hotel which lack style, charm and a view! Royal Terrace Hotel 18 Royal Terrace, Reservations Tel: 0871 789 5817 110 rooms. Once described as "Exquisitely furnished rooms, most with whirlpool spa. The last word in decadent over-indulgence." Now somewhat less salubrious and in need of redecoration. However, wonderful terrace of houses with splendid view, lovely private garden and a bar. Prices are reasonable as well.
