Our selection of Aberfoyle hotels in Stirling and Trossachs. In terms of cost you'll find Aberfoyle very competitive and they also allow you the freedom to chill out.
Aberfoyle - come here for a healthy gust of the outdoors. Sited in the heart of the Trossachs, Aberfoyle's Queen Elizabeth Forest Park and Loch Ard Forest are worth exploring. Falling in lines with the nearby town of Callander, Aberfoyle too is a convenient base for walking, golf, and cycling to the nearby hills. Summer is the best time to visit.
If you have got time in your hands it is worth wandering north of the village to Doon Hill (better known as Fairy Knowe). The only lake in Scotland (all others being lochs) - the Lake of Menteith lies three miles east of Aberfoyle. If you get here, then do not miss the beautiful ruins of Inchmahome Priory in Inchmahome Island, in the middle of the lake.
