The old spa town of Crieff lies in the heart of Strathearn. Its locale on a south-facing slope of the Grampian foothills and in between the Highlands and Lowlands is lovely.

The Crieff Visitor Centre which you can find to the bottom of the hill, is basically a garden centre  and is home to a gift shop which also hosts an exhibition about the cattle drovers. Those interested in the town's history can check out the "Stones, Stocks & Stories" exhibition from the tourist office.

A short drive or a twenty-minute walk will take you to the Famous Grouse Experience (the Famous Grouse blend is one of Scotland's best-known whisky brands) sited at the Glenturret Distillery (Scotland's Oldest Distillery). Another visitor delight is the Innerpeffray Library founded in 1680 and said to be the oldest in Scotland.

Another must-see is the Drummond Castle Gardens.
