We have chosen Huntly hotels in Aberdeenshire based on things to do around the area and also the facilities offered by the hotel.
The ancient burgh of Huntly lies on the main train route from Aberdeen to Inverness, ten miles east of Dufftown. A ten minute walk from the town centre will take you to the pretty Huntly Castle which sits on the banks of the Deveron River. The twelfth-century motte ( a grassy mound ) here, still breathes history. A narrow passage from the basement will lead you to the prisons.
Close to the town is the Glendronach Distillery.
