Kirknewton Hotels

Our selection of the hotels in Kirknewton, a small village that links the main "A" roads. One is A71 from Edinburgh to Livingston, and the other is A70, the lonely, high level road that carves its way along the north side of the Pentland Hills from Edinburgh to Carnwath and Lanark.

Much of the village stands back from the B7031, which gives the village a remote feel.  At te same time Kirknewton's Main Street has an interesting, very enclosed feel. Stretching from the junction with the B7031 to the old kirkyard in the centre of the village, it comprises a collection of one and two storey buildings. The kirkyard is home to a number of headstones dating back to the 1700s, and a burial enclosure for the Campbell Maconachies of Meadowbank House that dates back to 1662.
