The Cross at Kingussie is a family run five star rated restaurant with rooms located in the lovely Highland village of Kingussie within the stunning Cairngorm National Park, surrounded by mountains, rivers and lochs. Situated in four acres of riverside grounds - with an abundance of native trees, flowers and wildlife.
Built as a water powered tweed mill in the late 1800s The Cross maintains the character and some of the original features of the mill.
Champagne is served on the terrace in the summer – and drams in a cosy lounge in winter. Dinners are served by an open fire in the stone walled and wood beamed restaurant. Menus feature carefully prepared fresh and seasonal local and Scottish produce.
There are two comfortable lounges in which to relax and unwind – with games and books aplenty – and a plethora of local information and suggestions for activities, walks and excursions.
There are eight simple but comfortable bedrooms, all with large beds and well equipped en-suite bathrooms including some with separate showers. Each room has controllable heating – and in half you can nod off to the sound of the bubbling river below.
Breakfasts include freshly squeezed orange juice, hot baked croissants, homemade preserves, local comb honey, and an array of fresh fruits, compotes, yoghurts & cereals. We also offer a daily changing hot dish featuring local and homemade produce.
