All rooms are en Suite & decorated to a high standard. with Tea/Coffee making facilities provided. Our 2 restaurants give a choice of formal or casual dining offering freshly prepared local produce. The hotel is owned by the Andrew family & is part of Andrew Hotel & Leisure Ltd. The day to day running is managed by Bruce Harper, who has been associated with the family for many years & who has a wealth of knowledge of the hotel trade. Local Attractions include Glen Garioch distillery & Visitor centre Established in 1797 Glen Garioch pronounced Geery produces a beautiful range of single malts. Guided tours are available daily including a dram Haddo House This elegant mansion house boasts Victorian interiors beneath a crisp Georgian Exterior. Noted for its fine furniture & paintings has a beautiful garden which leads to a country park. Also noted for its timber framed theatre which has seen many notable artists on stage . A regular visitor is Prince Edward who himself has acted on this stage. Pitmedden Garden Elaborate re creations of original parterre designs of the 17th century. Adjoining museum of farming life brings back the agricultural past to life. Fyvie Castle Ranges from 13th century up to Edwardian interiors. Superb collection of paintings including Gainsborough. You can stroll round the lake or visit the restored 1903 racquets court or bowling alley. Prop of Ythsie Pronounced icy- is a stone tower on top of a hill just outside Tarves & Close to Haddo House. It was built by the tenants of Haddo estate in memory of George Gordon the 4th Earl of Aberdeen who was responsible for making a number of improvements to Haddo House, the estate & the quality of life of his tenants. Tolquhon Castle This is a 16th Century mansion with an earlier 15th century tower in one corner. The original owners were the Preston family but in 1420 it passed by marriage to the Forbes family. It is part of historic Scotland properties The Oldmeldrum Sports & Games Established in 1930 by a group of local men. Events include heavy & light hammer throwing tug o war etc & is usually held on the 3rd Saturday in June. It attracts a wide range of spectators from local to far travelled guests & is usually officially opened by a well known celebrity
