Crichton Castle

This castle has a facade of faceted stonework in an Italian Renaissance style.

The courtyard is fully accessible. Access to other areas would depend on the visitor's mobility as each room and cellar has up to three steps leading to it. The south and north upper floors are not accessible for visitors with a physical disability. Carved stonework around fireplaces and doorways offers a hands-on experience.

In dry weather, visitors with disabilities can be set down at the castle, but in wet weather the road is liable to flooding.
