Chef de Partie Job with Crieff Hydro

An opportunity has arisen for a Chef de Partie reporting to the Head Chef/Sous chef and responsible for Commis chef and kitchen porters
The role
To supervise their department and assist the head chef or sous chef to ensure high standards of food preparation are achieved to agreed standards, ensuring guest satisfaction.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensuring that efficient and smooth service is always maintained
- Responsible for Commis Chefs and Kitchen Porters
- To motivate and assist the team through training and development
- To promote a helpful and professional image to guests and give full co-operation and assistance with a prompt, helpful attitude
- To be helpful and give full support to colleagues from both within and out with the department, by having an operating knowledge of all corners of the kitchen, and private dinners and function
- To assist in the creation of menus with head chef. Ensuring food in fridge is used up for following days menus and canteen
- To minimise all operating costs by using all equipment and products in accordance with guidelines
- To ensure that the management of the health & safety is enacted in accordance with both current statutory and company standards.
- Previous experience at Chef de Partie/Supervisory level, with Stock ordering, storage and control
- Current Food Hygiene certificate and must be able to demonstrate the ability to work to high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
- Demonstrate the ability to lead and train team members
- Ability to plan and prepare menus to work to budgets and control food costs
- work between 40 hours - 45 hours, 5 days from 7, between the hours of 7am until 10pm
