Denny

Denny is a town in the Falkirk council area of Scotland. Formerly it is in the historic county of Stirlingshire. It is situated seven miles west of Falkirk and around 6 miles east of Cumbernauld. The town and its surrounding areas are important commuter towns catering to the needs of larger towns such as Falkirk and Stirling. Denny includes several housing estates located around a small central shopping area.

The local secondary school is called Denny  High School fulfilling the needs of students between the 12 to 18 years of age. Owing to the needs of the commuters the development of the area is based on the housing . The development in the housing sector has increased the local population.  Denny was once known as the centre of industries.
