East Renfrewshire a county in Scotland rests immaculately bordering North Ayrshire, East Ayrshire, Renfrewshire, South Lanarkshire and the lively Glasgow city. I arrived on business very late at night, almost midnight. I was warmly welcomed by staff and checked in by the roaring fire I was given the Geoff Merril room, When I opened the door I couldn't wipe the smile from my face, HUGE bed, HUGE plasma TV, large corner sofa a HUGE roll top bath in the room area near the TV
The bathroom had a double shower with a rainforest shower, full size toiletries, candles and matches by the bath Lots of lovely teas and coffees complete with a French press.
The attention to detail was faultless, the fresh milk in the fridge for example and a golf club and golf ball with a little machine that spits the ball back out at you when you have potted it (is that the correct terminology? No expense had been spared it was quality all the way; I only wish I'd have had more time to play before my meeting it was bliss.
I'm going back and plan to take my husband, that bed was too big without him.

I find it hard to recognise this hotel from the reviews. I stayed here recently and found the staff and facilities to be excellent. I had a problem printing some documents in their internet area and spoke to one of their manager's. (Think he was called David)He assisted me by taking me to another room where I was able to use an alternative printer. He even brought me a coffee while I was doing this. I had a meal in the restaurant and again found the service to be above average. Only bad comment I would make is that it is so warm in all areas.

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights. We're retired and like comfortable beds and value hotels. The room was very clean, if small, and comfortable. The place is difficult to find (it's right next door to the Football ground) so we rang and the staff waved from the door! (where else would you get that service). We also had a spotless shared kitchen for making meals. The area is not good and it is not in easy walking distance of Glasgowcentre but we parked in their secure car park. Recommended if you are on a budget (probably twice the price for the same in town) and if you can tolerate the location.

Many people wonder what the difference between a guesthouse and a bed & breakfast really is. This is our definition for a bed and breakfast: a private home that offers a bed for the night and breakfast in the morning at one cost. This is offered to "transient" visitors and has less than 10 bedrooms.
Bed & breakfast accommodation can vary between the absolutely excellent to the mediocre and pretty dire. Many people swear by B&Bs as it offers the opportunity to meet local people, get local advice about Aberdeen over the breakfast table and a price which is usually lower than hotels or guesthouseAccommodation in Aberdeen.
Benefits: Small, informal, run by locals, budget, fun
Drawbacks: less flexible than larger properties (they have a life as well). Quality can vary.
