We have had our best year at www.Scotland.org.uk with thousands of hotel, self-catering and tour enquiries from all over the world.
We have been re-writing our guide to scotland which is the biggest on the Internet and now we are looking for more scottish tourism businesses to help us in 2008 by featuring in the guide as the recommended accommodation for the area.
While we know that many tourists are happy to book online, we also know the majority want to phone and talk. For that reason we are inviting a limited number of you to promote yourselves through the site. We don't want you for online booking, but to reply to customer emails and speak on the phone.
What we will do:
- Create a page about your hotel with links to your own websites. This page includes a gallery of pictures, enquiry form, address and phone details and link to a page with map location
- Link to you from relevant pages on scotland.org.uk
- Prominently display telephone and contact details for you
- We will also be able to offer you a channel to promote any last minute deals with the ability to publish last minute offers within several hours
- Only have 1 or 2 properties in our advertiser sections for each area: why compete against everybody when you can stand out on your own.

Question: What's the difference between scotlandland.org.uk and visitscotland.com
Answer: We don't promote every tourism business in Scotland so you don't feature on a page with 200 other local businesses. Also, we don't believe that we know best. We try to listen.
Question: Do we have to follow your format?
Answer: No way. If you have a great idea for marketing and promoting yourself we are all ears to hear. The fact is, your success is our success.
Question: How much will it cost?
Answer: Less than £10 per month
Question: How much commission must I pay?
Answer: NONE (except where we have a separate commission agreement with you for group bookings)
Question: Can I make changes?
Answer: Yes (um, within reason) But if you realise that something will work better, let's give it a try.
Question: Do I have to reduce my prices to get the best out of this?
Answer: No, we are not visitscotland. We believe that marketing is about value so let's help prospective visitors appreciate what they are going to get and they won't demand cheap deals.

We have two levels of advertising:
Option 1 - £100 + vat annual
This includes a full page about your business, images, contact details and links from 5 pages on Scotland.org.uk website.
Option 2 - £200 + vat annual
This includes a full page about your business, images, contact details and links from all relevant pages on Scotland.org.uk website. You will also be added to our banner advertising that rotates around the site.

We charge the full amount at the start of every February. We will divide the annual charge by 12 months so if you join in June we will only charge you 8 months. If you join us in August or later then we will charge you for 12 months plus the extra months. So if you join in August we will charge you for 18 months.
