The Tattoo - music, colour and spectacle from home and abroad, set against the incomparable backcloth of Edinburgh Castle, featuring the Massed Pipes and Drums, Military Bands, display teams and dancers from the four corners of the earth - and of course the poignant notes of the Lone Piper high on the Castle ramparts.

The 2012 Tattoo (3-25 August 2012) will pay tribute to HM Queen Elizabeth's
Diamond Jubilee together with the ‘Year of Creative Scotland’, a celebration to mark
60 years of the Queen's reign and Scottish creativity and culture.

The Hotel

The Express by Holiday Inn Edinburgh Waterfront is located next to Ocean Terminal, Edinburgh's newest leisure and shopping destination and the Royal Yacht Britannia. The old port area of Leith has many atmospheric bars, bistros and boutiques and is only 1.5 miles from the city centre. The hotel has free parking & a frequent public bus service, licensed bar, air conditioning and Wi-Fi in public areas and guestrooms. The hotel offers a free hot breakfast option of sausages and scrambled eggs as well as the usual cold buffet selection.

 How to Book

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made by email to the email address sending the confirmation. Seven weeks notice is required for any cancellation. Cancellations received before that date there will be a 90% refund. Within the seven weeks - no refund. 
Full payment is required at the time of booking (unless booking before Christmas). Please note rates are based on 2 people sharing a room - single person supplements apply.

Please note that once a package has been confirmed, should you wish to alter the dates or details of your package booking, there would be a £10 per person administration fee.

We strongly recommend that you take out appropriate travel insurance which covers eventualities such as package cancellations.
