Whitehouse lies a few miles south of Tarbert on the beautiful Kintyre peninsula. Tarbert is a traditional harbour town, with a little bay backed by rugged hills, and both fishing and sailing are available.

Local landmarks include the Skipness Castle, the village of Carradale, the Mull of Kintyre, Arran and Gigha.

Lying just off the west coast of Kintyre is the Isle of Gigha.The Isle of Islay, The Isle of Arran, The Isle of Jura,and the mountains of the Inner Hebrides are nearby.
