A Bit About Edinburgh
Edinburgh has several really busy periods, Hogmanay, August (Festival & Fringe) and weekends especially when the rugby is on at Murrayfield. As a city it does not have a big population with around 400,000 in the EH postcode. This making the city a nice size to navigate and move around for a Edinburgh Stag or Edinburgh hen Weekend.

The city centre has 2 distinct areas the Old Town and New Town.
Old Town
The Old Town area has many of the famous Edinburgh land marks like the Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. There are quite a few bars and clubs in and around the Old Town like the Grassmarket. This area is very much a student attraction as the Universities are close by. Just watch out if you're walking around in high heels as there are quite a few cobbled streets and steps. If you fancy something a wee bit different for the evening why not try one of the scary Ghost Walks.

The New Town is home to the world renowned shopping area of Princes Street also the location for one of the worlds largest street parties. This Georgian area of Edinburgh offers great shopping and eating with views all the way down to the Firth of the Forth. Broughton Street has some great bars and restaurants and the fairly new Omni centre is home to nightclubs, bars, restaurants, Comedy Club and cinema.
George Street has a lot more Sex in The City types of bars, and some great places to eat.

Hotels In Edinburgh
Hotels are becoming more difficult to book for stag and hen groups. Unlike other cities the hotels in Edinburgh seem to put their prices up for group booking especially stag and hen groups. Our advice is book as early as you can and don't expect it to be cheap. A good 3 star hotel will cost around £50 to £60 per person per night. They may also ask you for a security bond for damages. Usually you will get this back if you have not had any problems.
