A Bit About Glasgow
Glasgow is well known for its fantastic shopping with massive streets like Argyle Street and Buchanan street. The night life is just as big with great restaurants and nightclubs.
Glasgow is not quite as expensive as Edinburgh and also offers all the same activities Edinburgh can. With Loch Lomond on the doorstep means there is loads of outdoor activities to choose from.

Candy Bar Glasgow
185 Hope Street Glasgow, G2 2UL Telephone: 0141 353 7420
Candy Bar has always attracted the trendy type. Take a purple stool at the curvy main bar or a circular booth in the lounge and sit back over drinks and food as stylish as the setting. A great menu of cocktails and other drinks to choose from.
Bars in Charing Cross
Driftwood
Located at the Charing Cross end of Glasgow, Driftwood (formerly Los Borrachos) primarily caters for a university and younger crowd looking for a lively evening out. With MTV blaring in the background and a DJ every night, even the comfy booths in the dedicated dining area to the rear don't escape the cacophony. You can't go to wrong with the food with nachos, which are heaped with either vegetarian options, chicken or beef chilli. Similarly, the combo platters - comprising nachos drowned in cheese, onion rings, potato wedges, mushrooms and fiery jalapeno poppers - are enough to share. Good pub for a stag or hen party.

Bar 91
One of the smaller bars in the Merchant City area of Glasgow, Bar 91 opens it's patio door onto Candleriggs at lunchtime and during the evenings and serves food from 1200 to 2100. The food isn't exactly cheap and the quality is fairly good.
Bacchus Bar
Bacchus has been a great bar for many years now offering live music below.
Bibo Cibo
Merchant Square, 5 Bell Street Merchant City, Glasgow
The covered courtyard of the Merchant Square development ensures diners can eat 'outside' regardless of the Glasgow weather on Bibo Cibo's cobbled terrace. The Mediterranean feel is consistent with the inside the bar, where walls are adorned with murals of ivy and orange trees. They offer great fish and meat dishes.
