Leaving Edinburgh we travel to Fife for our first brief stop at Dunfermline Abbey, built by King David I of Scotland. We move on through Glen Devon and the Gleneagles Hotel estate, venue of the 2014 Ryder Cup, to Glenturret Distillery, in the small market town of Crieff, where we can take a fascinating and fun tour at The Famous Grouse Experience, Glenturret Distillery.
Learn about the whisky-making process, be entertained by its unique interactive show, and be dazzled by a brand new interactive tasting bar for 2011. Last but not least, enjoy a ‘tour and a taste’ with an exclusive and unique tasting of a 30-year old malt whisky, which retails at over £100.00 and is only available to Timberbush customers. Enjoy a range of tasty lunch options in the award-winning restaurant or take a stroll in the distillery grounds.
After lunch we travel through the picturesque scenery of the 'Sma’Glen' to Dunkeld where we stop to admire its Cathedral, then we move on to The Hermitage for a short woodland walk.
We leave Perthshire and continue to the charming village of South Queensferry, where we make a brief stop for coffee and to admire magnificent views of the Forth Bridges before returning to Edinburgh.
