The Itinerary
Day One
From Edinburgh we will make our way via lonely Rannoch Moor to the beauty of Glen Coe. There is a stop in the heart of the Glen where you can enjoy these spectacular surroundings. Next we head for Fort William before driving through the Great Glen to Loch Ness for some monster spotting. Our tour is based in Inverness, the capital of the Highlands, for the next three nights. The stay in Inverness is unescorted.
Day Two
Today we enjoy a full day excursion to the beautiful island of Skye by mini-coach. We'll stop at Eilean Donan Castle, perched on its island at the head of Loch Duich. You will marvel at the views when we stop at this most picturesque of castles. Soon we'll be crossing 'over the sea to Skye' and visiting the beautiful gardens of the Clan Donald Centre before enjoying the dramatic scenery of the famed Cuillin Mountains.
Later we will have time for some beach combing before returning to Inverness.
Day Three
A day of nature and scenic beauty today as we travel to John O'Groats and the Far North. The emphasis is very much on nature and we hope to see red deer, seals, puffins (until early August) and hairy Highland cows along the way. Our tour takes us to Golspie then through the lands of the Duke of Sutherland - when you'll hear all about the notorious Highland Clearances. We will pass many stone-age sites before arriving in John O'Groats. There are several stops along the way to enjoy the dramatic cliff scenery of the northen coastline before returning to Inverness.Day Four
This morning there is an excursion to Culloden Moor followed by free time in Inverness. Later this afternoon join your motorcoach for our tour south. Our route will take us to the gentle Spey Valley with views of the Cairngorm Mountains then through the dramatic scenery of the Drumochter Pass. There's a stop in the popular Victorian resort town of Pitlochry, nestling on the banks of the River Tummel. You'll soon realise why this town was a favourite with Queen Victoria. The rolling Tayside countryside will guide us to Perth then we head homewards to journey's end in Edinburgh.Inclusions

Accommodation
Accommodation is included in the price of the tour. Clients can select between conveniently located quality guest house accommodation and a superior tourist class hotel in the centre of Inverness. All rooms have en-suite facilities and other amenities. Full Scottish breakfast is included. Hotel : Royal Highland Hotel (or similar). The stay in Inverness is unescorted.
Departures
The tour departs daily except Thursdays from Gate J, Edinburgh Bus Station, North St Andrews St, Edinburgh at 08.15 hrs, and returns at 20.30 hrs (day 4). Please arrive 15 minutes early. Coaches will not be held for customers who are late.
Cancellation Policy
For cancellations more than 30 days prior to departure date - 90% refund. 30 to 15 days - 50% of tour cost will be refunded. 14 days or less - no refund.Full payment is required at the time of booking. Please note rates are based on 2 people sharing a room - single person supplements apply.
