Set against dramatic mountainous scenery, this delightful detached holiday cottage nestles at the foot of Fuar Tholl. The cottage provides a peaceful haven to relax and unwind, surrounded by superb, ever-changing views and abundant wildlife, particularly red deer and sometimes eagles. It is an excellent base for hill walkers and climbers; the footpath to Torridon is close to the cottage and Munros (mountain peaks over 3000 feet) such as Maol Chean dearg and Beinn Laith Mhor can be climbed directly from the house. Coulags Croft is superbly situated for gentle walks along the river, hills and seashore. The Western Highlands and Isle of Skye can be readily explored by car. Restaurant/pub 3 miles.

Customer Reviews of Coulags Croft, Western Highlands, sleeps 6

1st comment: A beautiful croft in stunning scenery no matter the weather. Plenty of walks close to croft and a good base to see the Western Isles. Oct 2011.

2nd comment: Cottage well equipped for inclement weather activities. Lots of lovely places to visit on fine days. The midges were prolific and fearsome! Take repellent and midge nets and fly spray for indoors and in car! July 2011.

3rd comment: We were looking for a comfortable, pretty cottage, far enough away from civilisation to appreciate the beauty of the surroundings and the wildlife but near enough to a few pubs for meals out. Coulags was just what we wanted with an ideal location for walking from the door and plenty to see and do nearby and all the comforts of a well equipped cottage. We would definitely recommend Coulags on all counts. Feb 2011.

4th comment: Beautifully situated with lovely walks direct from door. Accommodation warm & comfortable. Excellent standard of equipment. Sept 2010.

5th comment: Best cottage and best holiday of our life. So peaceful but so much to do. Will not forget watching the crisp stars at night, the golden eagles coming over the valley in the morning and the magical walk up to the bothy. Will miss cocoa by the fire in the evening. July 2010.

6th comment: Lovely uninterrupted views from the lounge, with frequent sightings of red deer. Great collection of maps, guide books, wild life books etc provided by the owner. May 2010.

7th comment: Accommodation was very comfortable for our family of 4. The children loved the sheep being moved past the house. Cottage is located in the most stunning scenery. You can tell it is the owners holiday cottage as everything has been provided making it a home from home. Oct 2009.
