Customer Reviews of Creagan Ruadh, Kyle of Lochalsh, Sleeps 4

st comment: Fantastic view from lounge. Wild life around property excellent. Don’t worry if it rains, it did for us, but it makes the water falls and streams so much more dramatic. We counted 23 water courses on the mountains opposite after a day of rain. Sept 2011.

nd comment: Great cottage with superb views from the lounge window ever changing with the weather conditions. We saw porpoise and seals in the loch . Lovely well maintained and homely and clean cottage. Such a beautiful part of the world. Will definitely go back to do more walking. Sept 2011.

rd comment: Beautiful location. We came to see otters and had several good sightings. Watched an otter feeding for 1hour one evening near the cottage. Cottage was expensive but UK holidays seem to be, unfortunately. June 2011.

th comment: Tips - make sure you have access to the wood store (even in summer!). We had a power cut and no cooking facility without the wood burner. Take a camping stove? Otters - go out early morning or at dusk and be quiet. They are on Loch Duich. Eagle - Glenn Lichd. Walks - The Falls of Glomach are impressive and easy to get to even for the relatively inexperienced (clear paths). Buzzards galore! May 2011.

th comment: A fantastic holiday in a comfortable, clean and cosy cottage. Location is exceptional for walking and travelling around this area of Scotland - although the stunning views out of the living room window, might mean that your reluctant to leave the cottage! March 2011.

th comment: The accommodation had everything needed for the week down to dishwasher tablets. Dec 2010.

th comment: Best accommodation so far in UK in terms of holiday location, facilities, area. Definitely will come back. Dec 2010.

th comment: The views from the lounge window were spectacular. Nov 2010.

th comment: The location and the views were amazing, a very cosy property; everything that you need for an enjoyable stay in Scotland! Sept 2010.

th comment: The location is perfect, the views from the cottage are outstanding. Sept 2010.

th Comment Lovely cosy house with beautiful views. Sept 2010.

th Comment The interior was good, the equipment was good, the view was excellent. July 2010.

th Comment Fantastic view, comfortable cottage, well equipped, spotlessly clean, warmth easy to access. Lovely location. July 2010.

th Comment Well located for west coast and the Great Glen. Superb view from living room of Loch Duich and surrounding mountains, particularly the Kintail Ridge. June 2010.

th Comment Comfortable, well appointed overall, stunning views. Lots of excellent walks from cottage. Heater in lounge wasn’t working though and one in bathroom was hot all the time. May 2010.

th Comment Warm house,we watched an otter fishing while drinking tea in bed. April 2010.

th Comment The view is absolutely stunning. Feb 2010.

th Comment Very spacious house and grounds with fantastic views from living room, bedroom and front garden. June 2009.

th Comment We have spent quite a few holidays in Scotland through the years staying in cottages. Creagan Ruadh, however, is the No. 1 experience: The beautiful views and surroundings, the perfect position not far from Isle of Skye (we love Skye), Inverness, Ft. William, Torridon etc, and the cottage itself being comfortable and cosy. We rearranged the furniture a bit, so that we could have our meals in the lounge admiring the views. Who would want to miss that to take meals in the dining room with no views. Nov 2008.

th Comment The cottage met and exceeded our expectations. The location is superb, in picture-postcard scenery. The accommodation is warm and cosy - a real home away from home. There is bags of walking and outdoor activities, and a couple of bars and restaurants not far away. The weather was lovely for the first half of the week, but stormy for the second half. It didn’t matter as the place is so relaxing. We really didn’t want to leave. Murphy the dog was in mourning for at least two days, when he returned home! He missed his walks in the mountains and swims in the loch. Overall - an idyllic holiday that won’t be forgotten. Feb 2008.
