1st comment: Cottage was comfortable and had easy access to the surrounding area an ideal location to use as a base. Feb 2012.

3rd comment: Unfortunately the weather did not give us the best opportunity to enjoy the lovely garden but the areas to sit out were very good. The cottage was clean, well equipped and very comfortable and the information provided by the owners was invaluable. For someone who has a dog the location on the edge of the forest could not be better. Sept 2011.

5th comment: Great location if you wish to go cycling or walking in Dalbeattie forest. Walk to town which has all amenities, would recommend for families with older children as the bathroom is located downstairs. Overall lovely little cottage which would definitely return to. May 2011.

8th comment: Very well placed - easy access to Dalbeattie (few minutes walk) and yet felt you were in the countryside with the forest access at the back of the garden and the views from most windows. Sept 2010.

9th comment: Very cosy, the property felt ’lived-in’ unlike some other holiday properties. The garden - complete with squirrels - and the wood next door - fantastic. Only downside perhaps was the hill up from the town. Sept 2010.

12th Comment It was immaculate, very well presented, tastefully decorated and the owners had laid out little extras such as bath oils with the bath towels plus tea /coffee/milk and biscuits for our arrival which was much appriciated. June 2010.

18th Comment I felt the location of the property was excellent enabling us to easily tour SW Scotland. Very clean and modern but with a homely feel. My only complaint would be the master bedroom got very warm at night due to the nature of the building. July 2009.
