Claypotts Castle

An outstanding example of 16th-century Scottish architecture, Claypotts Castle is in the West Ferry area of Dundee. External viewing only.


An unusually complete tower house, this 16th century castle has circular towers at diagonally opposite corners, corbelled out to form overhanging cap houses. it was originally built for the Strachan family.
