Dalwhinnie Distillery

Located at over 1164 feet, Dalwhinnie Distillery is one of the highest distilleries in Scotland. It is open 7 days a week all year. The easiest distillery to visit if you are travelling north on the A9.

Description: Dalwhinnie, which in Gaelic means 'the meeting place', was a resting point for Highland drovers on their way to cattle markets at Crieff and Falkirk. The distillery is highest in Scotland, at over 1164 feet. It was opened in 1898, and now is owned by Diageo Plc
